FFM & ACA

FFM (Federally-Facilitated Marketplace), is a platform set up by the federal government where individuals, families, and small businesses can compare and purchase health insurance plans, including Medicare-related plans for those eligible. Agents often need to be certified to assist clients with enrolling in plan through the FFM, especially during AEP.

Agents who sell Affordable Care Act Insurance (ACA) must complete an annual certification before they are allowed to sell. The certification they must complete is known as the Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FMM) certification.

The ACA is a comprehensive healthcare reform law aimed at increasing access to affordable health insurance, improving the quality of care, and reducing healthcare costs.
